63What to do when you've been hacked!
Tonight I went to login to comcast to check my email and I see the following message in pink letters: KRYOGENIKS EBK and DEFIANT RoXed COMCAST sHouTz To VIRUS Warlock elul21 coll1er seven and Slacker (see below).
WTF? At first I didn't know if my computer had been hacked or what was going on. My first instinct was to shut off my computer and unplug it. Obviously, this did nothing to help the situation. I opened a new browser, cleared my cache, and still the pink letters: KRYOGENIKS EBK and DEFIANT RoXed COMCAST sHouTz To VIRUS Warlock elul21 coll1er seven and Slacker.
Now about a half an hour later someone has alerted comcast and the site is currently "under construction." Who are these Kryogeniks and why hack comcast of all websites? I did some research and apparently comcast has not been their only target. Our friend, Ms. Tila Tequila's myspace page was hacked by them in December (as well as Hillary Duff's and Justin Timberlake's).
So, what should you do?
There is nothing you can do! Change your passwords often and realize that there is no where to hide in cyberspace. You can buy spyware and download anti-virus software, but it's the same as having a house alarm. There is always someone lurking in the shadows waiting for you to fall asleep to cut the power and override the system. Tonight that happens to be Team Kyrogeniks, creeping through the ventilation system at comcast.net.

I wonder if the hack was comastic?
they should have thrown out some shouts to the Slowskys
this is why i stick with the big names, yahoo, google, aol, etc. comcast should stick to working on making my cable never lose signal. how scary is that!!!can you imagine if you lost all your email or god forbid they got into your computer?!?!
i hadnt heard about this and now that i know, i think google may have done some preventative steps because i am always automatically signed in but not only did i have to enter my password but one of those messed up letters things.
hopefully this will encourage comcast to work a bit harder and stop those lame booty commercials.

I TOTALLY saw that too! OMG so weird. I thought it was just the wrong url for like ten minutes. I bet the tech guys at Comcast feel like real a$$es right about now. Suxs for Comcast email subscribers.
